Payment Policy
1. Accepted Payment Methods & Transaction Currency
All purchases made through zarethin.com are processed in Euros (EUR). We currently accept the following payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, PayPal, Diners Club, Google Pay, and Apple Pay. The payment methods available during checkout may vary depending on your country, device, browser, card issuer, bank, or payment service provider.
If your card, bank account, or digital wallet uses a currency other than EUR, your financial institution or payment provider may convert the transaction into your local currency using its own exchange rate. Any currency conversion fees, foreign transaction fees, or similar charges imposed by your bank or payment provider are outside the control of ZARETHIN, LLC.
2. Third-Party Payment Processing
Payments made through zarethin.com are securely processed through authorized third-party payment service providers, including Stripe and PayPal. Depending on the payment method selected at checkout, your transaction may be processed through Stripe, PayPal, the applicable card network, digital wallet provider, issuing bank, or other participating financial institution.
These third-party payment providers are responsible for securely transmitting, authorizing, and processing your payment information according to their own security requirements and applicable payment industry standards. ZARETHIN, LLC does not independently process card information outside these authorized payment systems.
3. Payment Information & Data Security
ZARETHIN, LLC does not store customers' card numbers, CVV security codes, bank account credentials, digital wallet credentials, or other sensitive payment authentication information on our servers. Sensitive payment information is submitted directly to the applicable payment processor through secure payment channels.
To help protect payment transactions, our website uses security measures that may include HTTPS encryption, SSL/TLS technology, secure payment gateways, tokenization, PCI DSS-compliant payment processing, 3D Secure authentication where supported, and payment-provider fraud and risk monitoring systems. These technologies help protect payment information during transmission and reduce the risk of unauthorized access or fraudulent transactions.
4. Payment Authorization & Failed Transactions
An order is considered successfully placed only after the applicable payment provider authorizes the transaction. Payment may be declined or delayed for reasons including insufficient funds, incorrect payment information, card restrictions, bank security controls, authentication failure, suspected fraud, expired payment methods, or restrictions imposed by the payment provider.
If a payment fails, you may attempt the transaction again using corrected payment information or another available payment method. Your bank or payment provider may also temporarily place an authorization hold on your account following an unsuccessful or incomplete payment attempt. Such holds are controlled by the applicable financial institution and normally expire according to its own policies.
5. Payment Disputes, Fraud & Chargebacks
If you believe that a payment associated with an order is incorrect or unauthorized, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can review the transaction and available order records. We may request reasonable information necessary to verify the order, payment, delivery, or account associated with the transaction.
Payment disputes and chargebacks may also be investigated by Stripe, PayPal, the applicable card network, issuing bank, or other financial institution. ZARETHIN, LLC reserves the right to provide relevant transaction, order, communication, shipment, and delivery information to the applicable payment provider when responding to a legitimate payment dispute or fraud investigation.
6. Refunds to the Original Payment Method
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method used for the purchase. We do not normally issue refunds to a different card, bank account, digital wallet, or payment method. Once a refund has been approved and processed, it is generally submitted to the original payment provider within approximately 7 business days.
After the refund has been submitted, additional time may be required for the funds to appear in your account depending on your bank, card issuer, PayPal, digital wallet provider, or other financial institution. Processing times after the refund leaves our system are controlled by the applicable payment provider and are outside the control of ZARETHIN, LLC.
